You can view sample data on the website. Just click ‘Subscribe’ button on the home page. On the next page, click on “Must See” and you get ‘Specimen Data Tables’ on your screen. The sample tables pertain to all the categories and give you a fair idea of kind and format of data available on the websites.

Once you click a table heading on the table listing page the table page opens for your view. This is counted as one table view.
What is meant by 'Table Download'?
After viewing the table you may decide to download the table. You can download it in MS-Excel/ MS-Word or HTML format. Once you download a table in any of these formats, it is counted as one table download.
Before downloading a table, I will necessarily first view a table. Does it mean that a table downloaded will be counted as a table viewed too?
Yes. A table downloaded is counted as a table viewed too.
Does Indiastat provide trial access to the site?
No trial access is provided.
Does Indiastat Provide data on demand?
Yes, Subscribers as well as non-Subscribers may ask for statistical information/ data and indiastat may provide such information against payment.
Is there any provision of restricted access to any section of the site?
Access is given according to the Subscribership Plans. There is no provision of restricted access to any section of the site.

Is the Subscription fee refundable?
No. The Subscription fee either paid online or offline is not refundable.
Why are Indiastat and its associate sites paid sites?
We are a private company. We do not get any grant or subsidy from the Government or any NGO etc.
Can you make Subscribership Fee more affordable?
We introduced the ‘Individual Plan’ with a view to making subscription affordable for individuals. As a special gesture to educational and research institutes, NGOs and Government Departments, we introduced ‘Institution Plan’ where the fees are approximately 15% less than the fees for corporate category. For making it further affordable, we introduced 56 state-wise and sector-wise websites, known as associate sites of indiastat.com where data pertaining to the respective state or respective sector is available. Those who need data pertaining to a specific state (all sectors of the respective state) or a specific sector (India level as well state level data of all states in respect of the concerned sector) can subscribe to one of the associate sites (enumerated on the home page). The subscription fees of associate sites are much lower than the subscription for the mother site.
How can I/we get online Performa Invoice (Estimated Bill) from the site?
Please click the icon ‘Subscribe’ on the home page, go to ‘Subscription’ page. Choose the desired subscription plan. Click on ‘Generate Performa Invoice’, fill in the requisite information and click ‘Generate Performa Invoice’.
How safe is online payment?
Datanet India uses ICICI Bank’s payment gateway and CCAVENUE payment gateway which are VeriSign certified and secure sites.
How can a user from outside India pay for Subscribership?
User from outside India can make the payments online using any Master credit card, AMEX credit card,Visa credit card,Pay Pal, by banker’s cheque, or through wire transfer. How much time will it take to get the username and password after remitting the payment online through Credit Card and how is it communicated?
Normally on the same day during working hours. If the payment is received after working hours, the username and password are intimated during working hours on the next business day in India. Invoice and Receipt are sent in digital format to foreign subscribers, while these are sent by surface mail to subscribers from India.
How much time will it take to get username and password after sending the payment by surface mail and how is it communicated?
Normally on the day the payment is received. Username and password are communicated through email followed by formal letter, along with the Invoice and Receipt, through surface mail.
When does the Subscribership lapse?
Subscribership lapses either on expiry of its tenure (six months in case of Individual Plan and one year in case of other plans) or when the views/ downloads limit, in terms of the Subscribership Plan, is exhausted - whichever comes first from the date of activation.
Are the Subscribers reminded when the Subscribership is about to lapse?
Though we take care to send timely reminders for renewal, the subscribers are requested to keep their Subscribership alive as to enjoy uninterrupted access to the site.
Is it not difficult to reSubscriber the date of expiry and keep track of the number of tables viewed/ downloaded?
Yes, it is. That is why, for the convenience of our Subscribers, this information is available on the website. You just have to click ‘My Account’ on the home page. ‘My Account’ icon will be shown to you once you made the successful login. The updated information like date of expiry of your Subscribership, table views limit, table views utilized, table down limit and table download utilized etc. is instantly available.
Can we change the username and password?
Yes, you can change password any time for which you need to go to ‘My Account’ on the home page and make changes. For change in the username, the user may send a request by clicking ‘Contact us’ on the home page.
Can the data from the site be downloaded?
